What you’ll learn
what other students say:
“Akansha is one of the most talented and versatile vocal coaches I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Her teaching method is thorough and systematic and geared towards creating solid vocal technique foundations to take advantage of a singer's natural strengths in a safe and encouraging environment. I've had several vocal coaches over the years, including ones that produced X Factor finalists, and my classes with her are by far the best and have netted me the fastest increase in skill and stamina - she really knows how to teach!”
Aurnab Saber - Actor, Songwriter, Recording Artist
“Akansha knows exactly how to tailor her students’ learning experiences to suit their needs and challenge them enough to push them further along their singing journey. She encourages her students with positive affirmations and is quick to provide solutions when students are having trouble. She is an expert at creating an environment that is comfortable and welcoming enough to allow her students to produce their best work. She is non-judgemental, knowledgeable, and widely accepting of all kinds of learners. She cares very much about the journey to becoming a healthier singer. I am immensely grateful for her quick-wit, her kindness, and her work.”
Katie Long - Actor, Musical Theatre Performer
“Akansha is a breath of fresh air and a true light as a teacher. She has a wealth of knowledge surrounding the anatomy of the voice and doesn't assume a one-size-fits-all approach to producing sound. She will offer options until we find the one that clicks!
She is incredibly intuitive to a person's individual needs surrounding both the care of the voice and longevity of vocal use, whether her student is working on audition material, performance rep or just happens to be speaking a lot during their day job! Without her guidance I never would have felt able to take lessons when I felt less than 100%. Akansha explains "old' concepts such as breath support in enlightening ways and in ways that actually make sense - even after years of practice and vocal coaching. Both working professionals and beginners alike will learn something of value from Akansha.”
Mik Innes - Musical Theatre Performer, Stage Manager
“I began lessons with Akansha during the Melbourne lockdown, and I was pleasantly surprised that Zoom classes are as effective as in-person ones. My singing has improved so much over this time, and I have developed a much better awareness of mouth shape, tongue placement, tone, breath control, and musicality. Now that I have moved interstate, I’m continuing our online lessons - they’re that good! As a teacher, Akansha is friendly, engaging and supportive, and provides useful constructive advice in a way that makes sense to me. I have recommended her to all my friends and suggest that anyone interested in improving their singing book a lesson with her.”
Rosie Solstice - Casual Singer
“Akansha is an amazing singing teacher and I’d recommend her to anyone that’s looking for a safe environment to learn and grow their singing voice. Whether you’re a singing novice or a veteran, you’re in safe hands when you’re with Akansha as she uses the lessons to understand your voice and what it needs to reach its full potential. She is very knowledgeable on vocal techniques, exercises, and anatomy that will help you nail your next audition and/or performance. After every lesson with her, I feel more confident for my auditions.”
Nabs Adnan - Musical Theatre Performer
“Working with Akansha completely transformed my singing, which is crucial as I write songs for musicals and need to sing on demos to showcase it. She helped me make breakthroughs like keeping my tongue in the right position to improve tone, relaxing my stomach, and her focus on fixing my posture made everything feel easier. With her guidance, I’ve gone from panicking over long notes to singing like the characters I’m writing for.”
Hayden Dun - Composer, Musical Director
“I came to Akansha for help learning some scary material and she quickly became my go to teacher. My technique and confidence has improved so much since and I'm so grateful!”
